A recent university graduate has issued a desperate appeal for assistance. Her father was reportedly abducted while traveling back to Abuja following her graduation ceremony.
A social media user sharing the plea on X platform identified the victim as his classmate’s parent.
Convocation Celebration Turns Tragic
The father was reportedly seized after visiting Ondo for his daughter’s graduation at the Federal University of Technology Akura. He never reached his Abuja destination following the academic event.
The kidnappers have demanded a ₦10 million ransom according to the daughter’s account. She reports her father remains bound and tortured since the incident. Immediate intervention is urgently sought to secure his release.
The graduate’s emotional online message stated:
My father was abducted returning from my Abuja convocation. 😭
The captors demand ₦10 million ransom. 😭
I desperately need your support. 🙏
He’s been restrained and tortured since yesterday.
He pleaded for urgent action during our conversation. 😭
PLEASE HELP US!
In subsequent communications, the distraught graduate added:
I’m completely devastated.
My father was taken in Kabba, Kogi during his return journey.
The demanded ransom is substantial.
We spoke briefly – he’s being tortured and begged for haste.
Please pray for my family.
