Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara surprised officials with an unannounced visit to the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
The governor arrived at the party secretariat around 6:50 p.m. Top APC leaders welcomed him upon arrival. These included National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, National Welfare Secretary Hon. Donatus Nwapa, and Deputy National Organising Secretary Nze Chidi Duru.
Aviation and Aerospace Development Minister Festus Keyamo (SAN) also joined the reception committee. Governor Fubara arrived dressed in traditional white kaftan with a red cap.
Fubara informed Senator Basiru about his schedule. Though expected at the Progressive Governors’ forum meeting, he prioritized visiting APC headquarters.
The governor then proceeded to the National Secretary’s office. They held private discussions behind closed doors. Details of their conversation remain undisclosed.
