Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has pledged swift intervention against any forces threatening the state’s peace. The governor made this declaration during a meeting with Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) National Commandant Abubakar Ahmed in Akure.
Aiyedatiwa emphasized that maintaining security across Ondo State remains non-negotiable. “My administration will respond swiftly, firmly, and effectively to any attempt to undermine the state’s peace,” he stated.
The governor praised security agencies for their comprehensive briefings and successful handling of recent challenges. He committed to providing necessary logistics, intelligence support, and operational resources to counter emerging threats.
Aiyedatiwa specifically acknowledged the NSCDC’s effectiveness in combating oil theft and pipeline vandalism. He noted that despite facing security challenges, state agencies have demonstrated commendable responsiveness.
Regarding recent intelligence reports circulating publicly, the governor highlighted their positive implication: “This shows our security agencies are collaborating effectively to protect our communities.”
The governor concluded by promising sustained government backing for security operations, recognizing agencies’ critical role in safeguarding Ondo State.
