The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has ordered the prosecution of popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller. This decision follows a recent car crash that circulated widely online.
A video of the incident quickly appeared on social media. It drew widespread public criticism. Many Nigerians called for sanctions, including the withdrawal of his driver’s license.
The FRSC reacted to the public outrage on Monday, December 15, 2025. They issued a statement on their official social media page.
The road safety agency directed its Lagos State Command to take legal steps against the TikTok personality. This action relates to the recent incident.
Corps Marshal Shehu Muhammed also used the opportunity to caution stakeholders within the entertainment industry.
He urged groups like the Actors Guild of Nigeria and content creators to guide their members. He advised them to discourage unsafe conduct on public roads.
The FRSC stated that the Lagos command has been instructed to charge Peller. Charges include reckless driving, using a phone while driving, and driving without full attention. These are in line with existing traffic regulations.
The agency warned that public recognition or popularity does not place anyone above the law. It does not justify actions that put lives at risk on Nigerian roads.
