The Federal Government has reopened the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) application portal after several months of postponement. This initiative continues the government’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and combating poverty through targeted financial assistance.
Eligible Nigerian youths can access business grants ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000. These funds will help start or expand ventures in approved economic sectors.
Eligibility Requirements for YEIDEP
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18-35 years. They require valid National Identification Numbers (NIN) and Bank Verification Numbers (BVN). Participants must also maintain accounts with Lotus Bank, Keystone Bank, or Fidelity Bank.
Candidates should demonstrate genuine interest in approved sectors. These include agriculture, fashion, technology, entertainment, sports, and renewable energy.
Programme Benefits and Support
Beyond financial grants, beneficiaries will receive entrepreneurship training and mentorship. They’ll access enterprise development services for sustainable business growth. This comprehensive approach ensures long-term success.
Interested individuals must register through the official YEIDEP portal. Applicants should follow the programme’s verified Facebook page for authentic updates.
The scheme previously faced delays due to fraudulent activities. Scammers had attempted to exploit applicants. Government now ensures a secure process to protect genuine beneficiaries.
