Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), has criticized Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. Eze condemned Kalu’s claim that opposition politicians are fueling Nigeria’s growing insurgency.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt, Eze described Kalu’s allegation as “disgraceful and unsubstantiated.” He called it a “high display of sycophancy, eye service, and betrayal of the highest order.”
Eze urged the former Abia State governor to be courageous. He advised Kalu to tell President Bola Tinubu the harsh realities of his “woeful and clueless” performance.
Eze questioned Kalu’s reasoning. He asked how any “sane mind” could believe opposition politicians sponsor violence. He suggested such a belief stemmed from “political hallucination,” aiming to destabilize President Bola Tinubu’s government.
He stressed that Kalu should bravely inform Tinubu about Nigeria’s dire situation. Eze said the country is “sitting on a keg of gunpowder” and “hopelessly bleeding” under the President’s watch.
Eze emphasized Tinubu needs “visionary, truthful, and proactive friends.” He criticized “lily-livered politicians” who seek political favor by speaking ambiguously. He urged them to offer solutions to widespread kidnapping and killings. This violence continues despite huge government spending on security. Eze advised against mere blame-apportioning.

Eze also criticized Senator Adams Oshiomhole. Oshiomhole holds a similar view to Kalu.
Addressing Kalu and Oshiomhole, Eze stated that current events are not “calculated violence.” Instead, they show President Tinubu has “totally failed to protect Nigerians.”
Eze added that Tinubu “has no solution” to Nigeria’s security challenges. He described the President as “clueless” and “disgraceful.” He advised Kalu and Oshiomhole to counsel Tinubu, not to blame others.
Eze dismissed claims of a “calculated attempt” to destabilize Tinubu’s government. He urged them to advise the President to “sit up and protect Nigerians.” Eze stated Tinubu should focus on governance, not the 2027 elections, having “failed woefully” as President.
Eze Challenges Kalu, Oshiomhole to Name Sponsors
Eze challenged Kalu and Oshiomhole to name Nigeria’s insecurity sponsors. He argued their failure to do so indicates “sheer cowardice.” It also suggests they are “privy to what is going on in the country.”
He directly challenged them: “Name them if you know them.” Eze added, “If you know them, then you are part of them.” He also questioned the identity of these politicians. These are allegedly bent on ensuring Tinubu fails, just as they supposedly undermined former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Eze lamented that Senators Kalu and Oshiomhole chose to blame opposition politicians. This happened instead of addressing Nigeria’s security challenges directly. He noted they lacked the courage to name specific individuals.
