Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has opened up about facing online ridicule connected to her health condition. The mother of one shared how negative comments prompted her to investigate physical changes in her body.
Idemudia discovered she had Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) after researching her symptoms. This common condition affects women and currently has no permanent cure, though symptoms can be managed effectively with medical guidance.
Following consultations with her gynecologist, the actress began addressing PCOS symptoms to improve her wellbeing. She emphasized the importance of professional medical advice for managing the condition.
Empowering Message to Women
Idemudia used her platform to encourage other women living with PCOS. She stressed that mockery from strangers or loved ones shouldn’t diminish self-confidence or hope. The actress affirmed that women with PCOS can still achieve their dreams of motherhood.
In her words: “A lady came to troll me about visceral fat. I didn’t get angry. I researched and discovered PCOS.” She added: “I discussed management with my gynecologist since this condition has no cure – only symptom control.”
The actress shared a powerful message: “To every woman with PCOS: You’re not alone. Whether mocked by your husband or strangers online, you’ll overcome. I carried my baby and you’ll carry yours. Facial hair or stubborn fat doesn’t make you less. You’re beautiful and enough.”
