Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has publicly reiterated her claim that Nigerian lawmaker Ned Nwoko married fellow actress Regina Daniels when she was just 17 years old.
In a recent Instagram statement, Ogala declared she personally examined Daniels’ birth certificate and international passport. She emphasized that only a mother can definitively confirm a child’s birth details.
“I’ve seen Regina’s birth certificate and passport,” Ogala stated. “Gina was born on October 10, 2001. She married in May 2019. This means she was 17 at the time.”

Meanwhile, Regina Daniels has explained why she never pursued divorce from Nwoko. The mother of two clarified their union lacked legal formalities despite public perception.
Through social media, Daniels revealed no court documents were ever signed. This absence of legal paperwork made divorce proceedings impossible.
She expressed frustration about dedicating her prime years to the relationship. Daniels claims she sacrificed career opportunities while with Nwoko.
“Love and marriage cannot be forced,” Daniels asserted. She insists her decision to move forward deserves respect. The actress now seeks complete independence from any controlling influences.
