British YouTuber and BMX rider Ryan Taylor has opened up about his breakup with Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy. The couple, who got engaged after just a month of dating, ended their relationship by mid-2023, as noticed by fans when they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Speaking on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old British boxer reflected on their short-term relationship, explaining that certain issues created a rift between them. Taylor claimed that the entertainer showed a lack of interest in working with Nigerians in some professional settings.
According to him, no contracts or non-disclosure agreements bound them, and he walked away from the relationship with valuable lessons. He stated, “Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff.”
He added, “To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!”
He also shared, “I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is.” This statement reflects his takeaway from the relationship, emphasizing that financial stability isn’t the sole foundation of a partnership.
This revelation comes after DJ Cuppy herself had spoken about relationships and marriage in recent times, indicating that both parties have moved on with their lives.
