Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed admiration for her elder sister Tolani Otedola’s reserved nature. She described Tolani’s quiet demeanor as a powerful, understated strength.
Cuppy noted that her sister demonstrates true influence doesn’t require loud displays. Tolani’s subtle presence makes a significant impact despite her low-key approach to public life.
On social media, DJ Cuppy shared: “My sister @shesTolani might be the most ‘lowkey’ in our family, but her quiet strength speaks volumes. She reminds me that real power doesn’t need to shout to be felt.”
Tolani Otedola was born in Lagos on April 21, 1986. She is the eldest daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola and Olayinka Odukoya.
As DJ Cuppy’s half-sister, Tolani shares the same father but has a different mother. This family connection includes their sister Temi Otedola.
Tolani studied psychology at Scotland’s University of St Andrews. She later pursued a career as a singer-songwriter in Nigeria’s music industry.
Her musical works include singles like “Tenderoni” featuring Skales and “Ba Mi Lo” with Reekado Banks. She marked her return to Nigeria’s music scene with a 2017 Lagos showcase.
Unlike her high-profile siblings, Tolani maintains a notably quiet public presence. Her reserved nature creates a distinct contrast within the prominent Otedola family.
