This controversy began on Saturday, December 6. Renowned cleric Sign Fireman posted photos. They featured his “Umuahia Big Miracle Invasion” program’s first day.
The Pastor’s Healing Assertion
In his post, the pastor detailed an encounter with Amarachi’s mother. He claimed she had suffered left-ear deafness for 36 years. She allegedly received instant healing during the service.
Amarachi quickly entered the comment section. She aimed to refute the testimony. Her reaction drew massive attention. Social media users debated the healing’s authenticity.
The pastor’s post included images of the woman during ministration. It described her as having lived with left-ear deafness for decades. It claimed she just experienced a miraculous hearing restoration.
The post highlighted: “Instantly healed of 36 years deafness!”
It further stated: “DAY 1, UMUAHIA BIG MIRACLE INVASION — WITH SIGN FIREMAN. Details: The deafness was that of the left ear.”
Daughter Challenges Healing Narrative
Amarachi expressed surprise in the comment section. She identified the woman in the pictures as her mother. She firmly stated her mother was never deaf.
Her direct message read: “36 years of deafness??? This is my mother and she isn’t and wasn’t deaf,ever! Let’s be guided properly,please.”
She clarified her mother’s reason for seeking prayer. Her mother only sought relief for a temporary pain in her left ear. She never complained of being deaf.
Amarachi further explained: “My mother only came out to be prayed for for a pain she had temporarily on her left ear. She never complained of being deaf and never took any money from anyone to act or make believe anything.”
She concluded by requesting action from the page handler. “She is completely oblivious of the caption of this post. I ask that the handler of this page should kindly edit the caption to the right thing or take it down completely as soon as possible.”
