Nollywood actor Daddy Billy has shared a heartbreaking account.

He spoke about the final moments of his colleague, Odira Nwobu. Nwobu tragically passed away in South Africa. Billy revealed these details in a video posted on his Instagram page. He stated that Nwobu struggled significantly for his life. The late actor had also been on medication for three days before his sudden demise.

Billy explained the events leading to Nwobu’s health crisis. On a crucial evening, Nwobu reportedly forgot to take his medication. This oversight occurred before he went out to a club. His health condition soon caused immense worry among everyone present. Billy recounted a distressing call they received. “Odira’s heart was beating fast again,” he stated. He added, “From beating fast again, he was gone.”

Billy further detailed an earlier incident. Three days prior, Odira suffered a similar attack. His heart beat visibly fast. They quickly took him to a pharmacy. His blood pressure was checked there. It registered an alarming 171. The pharmacist expressed shock at the reading. He warned Odira was “lucky” to be alive. Any delay, the pharmacist noted, could have resulted in a stroke or worse. Following this, the pharmacist prescribed some medication. Odira began taking the drugs and his condition stabilized.

However, circumstances changed on Sunday. Odira went out that day. He reportedly neglected to take his blood pressure tablets. Later that evening, he began complaining of weakness. They walked a short distance together. Odira then told them, “I am tired. I can’t walk for too long.” Billy observed that no one seemed to grasp the seriousness of his words. He recalled, “Nobody could say Odira, where is your tablet. It escaped everyone’s mind.”

Despite his discomfort, Odira initially continued with the group. He eventually expressed a desire to go home. “I don’t think I need to continue,” he reportedly said. Yet, they proceeded to a club. The outing appeared enjoyable. Odira even posted videos online from the venue. He seemed fine during that time. Afterwards, everyone said their goodbyes. They returned to their respective apartments. Then, another distressing call came in. Odira’s heart was once again beating rapidly. Soon after receiving this news, he passed away.
