Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy made headlines at his Denver concert on Wednesday night when he abruptly stopped his performance to eject a couple from the venue.
The incident occurred when the Grammy-winning artist noticed the pair seemingly asleep in the front row mid-performance. Burna Boy halted the show and demanded the man remove his girlfriend from the arena.
Despite initial resistance from the couple, audience members joined in urging their departure. They eventually exited the venue under crowd pressure.
The artist expressed his frustration on stage: “When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping in front of me, it pisses me the f**k up. Take her the f**k home… Walahi I’m not performing another song till you go home.”
This marks the latest in a series of fan removals at Burna Boy’s concerts. Past incidents include ejecting a fan who rushed the stage and another removed for not dancing during the performance.
Pattern of Fan Removals
The Denver ejection continues Burna Boy’s established approach to audience engagement. Previously, he removed a male fan for unauthorized stage entry and physical contact. Another attendee was expelled for insufficient participation during the show.
