Rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, faces a cyber harassment lawsuit filed by lawyers representing an anonymous woman. The legal petition alleges unlawful distribution of private video content without consent.
According to the court documents, the plaintiff suffered months of social media harassment, false accusations, and public humiliation. Bristol & Mortglass C.S., the representing law firm, stated their client endured intimidation and emotional trauma throughout the ordeal.
Multiple attempts to resolve the matter privately reportedly failed, with Blaqbonez allegedly ignoring formal demands. This forced the woman to seek police intervention and pursue formal legal action for personal safety concerns in Lagos.
The lawsuit cites violations of several Nigerian statutes including:
- Cybercrimes Act 2015
- Violence Against Persons Act 2015
- Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023
Legal representatives revealed that TIA Solicitors previously sent formal notices demanding ₦200 million in damages, deletion of private materials, and a public apology. These documents were reportedly delivered twice to Blaqbonez’s residence without acknowledgment.
As of publication, neither Blaqbonez nor his management team has publicly addressed the allegations. The plaintiff continues to seek legal redress for the alleged privacy invasion and psychological distress.
