Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has opened up about the challenges of adjusting to life in the spotlight.
She revealed that one of her biggest challenges has been the pressure to constantly appear glamorous, something that doesn’t come naturally to her.
At a recent public event, the reality TV star admitted that fame comes with expectations she finds uncomfortable, particularly the demand to always wear makeup and maintain a polished appearance.
“I’d say having to put on makeup each time I step out, maybe for an event like this, really isn’t my thing,” Imisi said. “I don’t like things on my face, and I even hate hairs on my body.”
The 27-year-old star acknowledged that while she understands the importance of presentation as a public figure, she still finds it difficult to conform to the industry’s beauty standards.
“This is something I really need to adjust to. Honestly, I think I look good without all that, but because of what you’re trying to portray and how people expect you to appear, you’ve got to keep your hair, makeup, and nails done,” she explained.
Her comments highlight a common struggle faced by many reality TV stars who transition from private to public life, where image and brand management often become part of their daily routine.
However, she noted that the demands of fame have made her more self-conscious and often conflicted between staying authentic and meeting public expectations.
