Governors elected under Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for significant improvements in the country’s education and healthcare sectors.
APC Governors Forum Chairman Hope Uzodinma declared that Nigerians now enjoy unprecedented access to essential services. He made these remarks after hosting Progressive Governors at a meeting in Abuja.
Education and Healthcare Milestones
Governor Uzodinma highlighted two key achievements under Tinubu’s leadership. First, the student loan program ensures education accessibility regardless of financial status. Second, revitalized health insurance schemes guarantee medical treatment access.
“Nigerians can no longer cite education costs as a barrier,” Uzodinma stated. “Similarly, hospital bills aren’t an excuse with our functional health insurance system.”
The governor cited Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent defection to APC as proof of Tinubu’s growing political capital. “Nigerians approve of Tinubu’s reform policies,” he added.
Fubara’s Surprise APC Visit
Meanwhile, Governor Fubara made an unexpected visit to APC’s national headquarters. Arriving around 6:50 PM, he was welcomed by senior party officials.
The reception committee included National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru and Welfare Secretary Hon. Donatus Nwapa. Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo also joined the welcoming party.
Explaining his unscheduled appearance, Fubara noted he prioritized visiting party headquarters before attending the Progressive Governors’ meeting. He then entered closed-door discussions with Senator Basiru.
