Former unified heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, has sent a clear message to Jake Paul. He issued a blunt warning ahead of their December showdown in Miami. Joshua insists he will overpower the American. He plans to ensure Paul has a long night to remember.
Anthony Joshua is currently the strong favourite with bookmakers. He made his intentions clear during a lively press engagement. This eight-round bout will stream globally on Netflix.
Joshua’s Fiery Threat to Jake Paul
Joshua did not hold back with his predictions. “I’m going to break his face,” he stated. “I am going to break his body up. I’m going to stomp all over him. That’s my fighter’s mentality.”
He added that he intends to drag Paul into unfamiliar territory. “I’m going to come forward,” Joshua explained. “I will impose myself. I’ll land heavy punches and expose him to certain tricks in boxing. He may not have seen these yet.”
Joshua believes he will introduce Paul to a new level of boxing. “I am going to bring him to another school of boxing. I don’t think he’s been exposed to this yet,” he affirmed.
Respect Amidst the Threats
Despite his tough talk, Joshua offered surprising praise for Paul. He complimented Paul’s mindset and training effort. “I see talent, focus,” Joshua admitted. “He puts in the work and has a good team. There’s nothing negative there.”
Joshua added, “I take it seriously. He has a conqueror’s mentality. His mentality is solid.”
Fighter Records and Future Prospects
Anthony Joshua enters the ring with an impressive record of 28 wins and four defeats. Twenty-five of those victories came by knockout.
Jake Paul’s record stands at 12 wins and one loss, with seven knockouts. However, Joshua represents the toughest opponent Paul has faced to date.
Looking beyond Miami, Joshua anticipates another fight in February. He also hinted at a potential long-awaited clash with Tyson Fury. This highly anticipated matchup could happen later in 2026, if all goes according to plan.
