Nollywood star Anita Joseph has publicly challenged businessman Ned Nwoko regarding the ongoing marital crisis involving his wife, actress Regina Daniels, and her family. In a Friday Instagram post, Joseph broke her usual silence on marital matters, citing concerning treatment of Daniels’ relatives.
The actress questioned Nwoko’s alleged use of influence against his wife’s family, asking whether reconciliation remained possible between both parties. She specifically demanded the immediate release of Regina’s brother, Sammy West, from police custody.
Joseph firmly stated that marriage should never involve coercion, asserting that Regina should be free to leave the union if desired. She expressed disappointment that government bodies hadn’t intervened while offering support to Daniels during the challenging period.
Anita Joseph’s Instagram Statement
“I no dey put mouth for husband and wife matter, but you see this one eh, e no nice at all. Only in Nigeria that this will happen. Why are you bullying your wife’s family? Did you even leave room for reconciliation? Free Sammy now! If Regina wants out, then let her be. Marriage isn’t by force, Shallom.
This is not fair at all. Wetin happened? Why the bullying? How come no one in the government is taking action? Even at this moment the Lord will not forsake @regina.daniels. God got you, my Darlyn Gina.”
Lagos police previously explained their custody of Sammy West related to the family dispute. The situation continues drawing reactions from Nollywood colleagues supporting Regina Daniels.
