Nollywood star Angela Okorie has opened up about her selective approach to event invitations. The actress explained she avoids certain gatherings because she believes some people harbor ill intentions toward her.
In a recent Instagram post, Okorie revealed that not all event organizers invite her out of genuine appreciation. She warned that some invitations conceal sinister motives aimed at harming attendees.
“Not all invitations should be accepted,” Okorie wrote. “Some are plots to kill or destroy you. This is why you need to pray for discernment.”
The actress stressed that divine guidance helps reveal people’s true intentions. She attributes her safety to prayer and spiritual awareness in navigating celebrity events.
Following Spiritual Guidance
Okorie explained her absence from certain events is deliberate. According to her, some organizers dislike her personally but still seek her presence because she “brings life to the party.”
“I follow my spirit,” she stated. “There are places I won’t attend regardless of appearance fees. Poison is everywhere—people are planning against others.”
The actress referenced high-profile cases like Mohbad’s to illustrate potential dangers. She emphasized the importance of caution in the entertainment industry.
Okorie concluded her message with a firm declaration: “The God I serve is alive and will expose all plotters. Not every invitation deserves your presence—some are traps.”
