APGA’s National Publicity Secretary Ejimofor Opara has declared the party’s readiness for a sweeping victory in Anambra’s November 2025 governorship election. He asserted that Governor Charles Soludo’s re-election campaign has become “a people’s movement” that aims to win all 5,720 polling units across the state.
Grassroots Strategy for Total Victory
“We are dotting our I’s and crossing our T’s,” Opara stated. “Our door-to-door approach targets every polling unit.” He contrasted Soludo’s issue-based campaign with past “flamboyant” efforts, noting it redefines politics in the Southeast and Nigeria.
The spokesman dismissed APC’s criticism of the ₦50 million campaign signage fee as “a weak excuse.” He defended Anambra State Signage Agency (ANSAA) as legally mandated. “If APC has issues, they should engage the agency,” he countered.
APC’s Credibility Challenged
Opara dismissed APC’s electoral chances. “They’re a toothless bulldog and spineless in Anambra,” he remarked. He questioned their structure and alleged their candidate lacks national backing. “Everybody is entitled to dream, even nightmares,” he quipped.
Regarding APC’s claim about misused council funds, Opara called it “a cheap lie.” He explained Soludo’s campaign funding comes from voluntary community donations. “Ndi Anambra give willingly because they believe in his leadership,” he stated.
Certificate Controversies Addressed
On APC candidates’ qualification doubts, Opara stressed integrity. “Who distracts genuine candidates? If certificates are authentic, why worry?” He cited recent resignations over fake credentials. “Qualification is non-negotiable. The law is clear.”
Opara highlighted Soludo’s governance achievements. These include infrastructure renewal and youth-focused policies. “Soludo’s people-centric approach involves everyone,” he noted. The administration reportedly improved transparency and accountability.
Concluding, Opara framed the election as a “referendum on performance.” He expressed confidence in Soludo’s record securing victory. “Results will speak louder than opposition noise,” he affirmed.
