The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has initiated a 90-day nationwide membership mobilisation, revalidation, and registration (MMRR) exercise. This significant party activity will pave the way for upcoming internal elections and conventions.
Additionally, the party has announced provisional timelines for its congresses. These will include the election of delegates across various levels: polling units, wards, and local government areas.
According to circulars released by National Secretary Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the congresses are tentatively scheduled for January 20-27, 2026. These events will culminate in a non-elective National Convention. This convention is slated for February 2026 in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The ADC clarified that these activities align with decisions made during its National Working Committee (NWC) meeting. That meeting took place on November 27, 2025. All planned events adhere strictly to the relevant provisions of the party’s constitution.
