A Nigerian woman residing in the UK has publicly expressed her distress after her spouse allegedly departed and initiated divorce proceedings due to a conflict concerning her daughter’s impending marriage.

The Stepfather Raised the Girl for Sixteen Years
She noted that her Nigerian former spouse left her and their ten‑year‑old daughter sixteen years prior.
“…My husband has left the house for the past few days and is now talking about divorce on grounds of deception. I am based in the UK. Sixteen years ago, my Nigerian ex‑husband abandoned me and our 10‑year‑old daughter. We were struggling badly. That was when I met my current husband, a white man who showed me and my daughter genuine love. She disclosed that her twenty‑six‑year‑old daughter is seriously considering marriage to a man from an affluent, influential Yoruba lineage residing in the UK, with deep connections to Nigeria and Britain.
