Anambra Governor Soludo Endorses Tinubu’s 2027 Re‑election Bid
Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s quest for a second term in the 2027 general election.
The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor warned Igbo voters against wasting their ballots again, urging them to move beyond the politics of lamentation and instead support a progressive national agenda.
According to Soludo, the South‑East has historically acted as a reliable voting bloc for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a bid to secure federal relevance, but the time has come to realign with mainstream politics that benefits the whole country.
He declared, “No more wasting of votes again. I’m endorsing President Tinubu for a second term. I stand in solidarity because progressives are working together. Igbos should not waste their vote again.”
Oshiomhole Says Tinubu Cannot Criticise Buhari’s Administration
Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North, argued that President Tinubu is unable to openly criticise the former President Muhammadu Buhari’s government because he played a pivotal role in bringing Buhari to power.
Oshiomhole noted that Tinubu and Buhari differ markedly in their policy approaches, yet Tinubu’s gratitude for Buhari’s support restrains him from public criticism.
He also recalled stating during Tinubu’s 2022 presidential campaign that the former Lagos State governor would not run on Buhari’s record.
