ADC Primary Conducted Transparently, Aide Claims
Media adviser to the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Paul Ibe, affirmed that the party’s presidential primary was free and fair.

Ibe argued that, unlike the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which allegedly manufactured figures during its primaries, the ADC deliberately slowed down the process to allow its election petitions committee to investigate any corruption allegations that surfaced.
He urged Nigerians to decide whether they want another four years of hardship under the current administration or to support Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 election.
Committee in Place to Address Concerns
“Every election brings disagreements, even among close relatives,” Ibe said. “It is legitimate for people to question the process or the outcome. What matters is that the ADC has a mechanism to handle these concerns.”
He noted that when allegations arose, the party paused the primary to give the elections petition committee time to examine the claims, stressing that the ADC is not engaged in vote manufacturing like the APC allegedly is.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) monitored the primaries, and the party insists that a credible, transparent process is essential to be taken seriously by Nigerians.
2027 Election as a Referendum on Tinubu’s Government
Looking ahead to 2027, Ibe described the upcoming election as a referendum on the incompetence and cluelessness that have characterised the Bola Tinubu administration.
“Nigerians must decide whether they will endure another four years of pain and tears or choose a different path,” he concluded.
