Captan’s Allegations About Shatta Wale and Burna Boy
Captan, a former signee of the Shatta Movement, asserted in an interview that Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy was once detained in Ghana on suspicion of marijuana use. According to Captan, Shatta Wale played a key role in securing Burna Boy’s release from police custody.
He stated that he personally assisted in the effort after Shatta Wale directed him and a few others to go to the station and facilitate the singer’s freedom.
Captan did not disclose the exact date or location of the alleged arrest within Ghana.
The former signee also claimed that, during a difficult period, Burna Boy sought refuge with Shatta Wale and his associates when he was allegedly threatened by dangerous individuals. He said the Ghanaian artiste and his team provided accommodation and helped settle the situation.
Captan added that his relationship with Burna Boy deteriorated after the Nigerian star fell out with Shatta Wale, which also affected his ties with other members of the Shatta Movement camp.
Despite the reported fallout, Captan emphasized that both he and Shatta Wale remain willing to reconcile with Burna Boy if the singer initiates a peace move.
He maintained that there is no lasting hostility and hinted that a resolution is still possible between the parties.
