Nigerian reality TV personality and entrepreneur Terseer Kidd Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya, has revealed the challenges he faces when dating women from less affluent backgrounds.
Speaking candidly on the ‘Off The Record’ podcast, the Big Brother Naija star shared his difficult experiences with partners from lower or middle-class backgrounds. Kiddwaya explained these relationships often become problematic after initial excitement fades.
According to the celebrity, partners begin comparing themselves to others in his social circle. This leads to demands for luxury items, exotic vacations, and premium treatment. Special gestures gradually transform into expectations.
Kiddwaya noted this behavioral shift typically results in disrespect. It creates relationship tensions that become difficult to resolve. Such dynamics ultimately make sustaining these connections challenging for him.
The reality star elaborated: “At first, they’re grateful. Everything feels fresh and thrilling. But within months, comparisons start. They desire the same designer bags. They want identical luxury trips. Soon, special treatment becomes routine.”
He further stated: “Entitlement emerges and often manifests as rudeness. This remains my core challenge when dating someone from modest means. Introducing them to my lifestyle creates these issues.”
