ADC Presidential Primary Results Resume in Abuja
A 2027 presidential aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has secured his first state victory in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary as the collation of results resumed on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to the declared results, Hayatu-Deen polled 8,442 votes to win the ADC presidential primary in Kwara State, outpacing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar with 6,805 votes and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi who garnered 7,195 votes.

The ADC had previously announced a temporary suspension of the collation process on Tuesday to allow Muslim members to observe Eid al‑Kabir and to address flight challenges faced by some returning officers. Collation resumed at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, and is expected to continue until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
