Yul Edochie Speaks on Relationship with Daughter Danielle
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has responded to speculation surrounding his connection with his first daughter, Danielle.
The actor previously faced backlash online after social media users accused him of overlooking Danielle’s graduation while frequently sharing posts about his children with his second wife, Judy Austin.
During an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Edochie affirmed that he maintains a close relationship with Danielle, who is now 21 years old.
He explained that he does not expect her to fully comprehend him at her age, noting that he himself struggled to understand his own father when he was 21.
Edochie added that it is natural for children to feel a stronger attachment to their mother’s side, describing the dynamic as a normal part of family life.
“We are very close. She is just 21, I don’t expect her to understand me. When I was 21, I didn’t understand my father. There will be a tilt towards her mother; it is a normal thing.”
The interview generated strong reactions online, with many fans criticising the actor and suggesting that Danielle may still be processing the fallout from his relationship with her mother.
