Bucci Franklin’s Heartfelt Message About Parents
Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin recently spoke about the deep pain he felt after losing his mother. He said the loss changed his view of life and helped him understand the true meaning of love.
According to Bucci, grief is a sign that you truly loved someone. He explained that people often do not realize how much they love a person until they are gone.
Why Calling Parents Matters
The actor described his mother as the most important person in his life. Her death left a lasting wound, and remembering her still brings strong emotions.
Bucci urged everyone not to let busy schedules or family conflicts stop them from checking on their parents. He emphasized that even if a relationship is not perfect, making an effort to call, talk, or bring joy to a parent is valuable.
“My mom raised me right. I’ve come to understand that grief is a sign that you really did understand the meaning of love. So, you must lose someone before you know you can love. The most important person in my life… I lost that person.
My advice to everybody that has a parent, whether your parent is useless or not, find time, reach out to them. Call them, make them laugh, because a time will come when you will wish you had the opportunity to just play with them again.”
He concluded by encouraging simple acts of kindness—such as a phone call or a shared laugh—to keep the bond with parents alive while there is still time.
