Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Woli Arole has dismissed the trending saying, “I prefer to cry in a Lamborghini than smile in a Marwa.” The UK-based entertainer considers this mindset problematic and unwise.
Many Nigerians debate whether it’s better to experience hardship while wealthy or find joy in modest means. Arole took to Instagram to condemn the luxury-car quote. He described it as useless and warned followers to reconsider such thinking.
“That statement about crying in a Lamborghini is nonsense,” Arole stated. “Don’t endorse it publicly. Your suffering in luxury could last a lifetime. Think carefully before embracing this idea.”
Priest Critiques Celebrity Marriage
In related commentary, Catholic priest Fr. Kelvin Ugwu recently addressed Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels’ relationship. He called their union a greed-fueled arrangement rather than a marriage.
The clergyman suggested neither party should complain about marital issues. “Ned sought a virgin, Regina sought wealth,” Ugwu stated via social media. “They each got their desires through this contract.”
Ugwu maintains they’re now experiencing the consequences of their choices. He emphasized their partnership represents a transactional agreement, not genuine matrimony.
