Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked a fresh controversy after advising men never to forgive a cheating wife. In a post on his X handle, he warned that any man who forgives an unfaithful spouse will live to regret it.
According to the actor, trying to forgive a cheating partner shows weakness. He added that forgiving an unfaithful woman gives her an excuse to repeat the offence. Yul claimed that women often treat weak men harshly.
Yul Edochie’s Post
His post reads: “Once you find out your wife is cheating on you, leave her immediately. Men, stop tolerating nonsense all in the name of marriage. Don’t negotiate anything with her. Don’t condone. Don’t discuss with her boyfriend. Let her go quickly. And move on.”
He continued: “If you forgive her and continue, you have confirmed to her that you’re a weak man. Danger looms for you. That decision will come back later to hunt you. Women deal mercilessly with weak men.”
Social Media Backlash
However, the post did not sit well with many netizens. They quickly reminded Yul of his own infidelity to his first wife, May Edochie. Many questioned his right to give such advice.
