The Rivers State Commissioner for Youths, Hon. Chisom Gbali, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC). The decision comes shortly after Governor Siminalayi Fubara withdrew from the APC governorship primary.
Resignation Letter Details
In a letter dated May 13, Gbali addressed the party chairman of Ward 1 in Oyigbo Local Government Area. He stated that his resignation followed careful reflection and personal considerations.
He also requested that his name be removed from all APC membership records and registers.
The full statement reads: “I, Hon. Kenneth Gbali, PhD, of Ward 1, Ayama Ndoki, in Oyigbo LGA, Rivers State, hereby formally tender my resignation as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect.
“This decision was reached after careful reflection and personal consideration. I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for the opportunities, relationships, and experiences I gained during my time as a member. I remain committed to the continued service of our people and state, and I wish the party well in its future endeavours.
“I kindly request that my name be removed from the party’s membership records and registers accordingly.”
