Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), has confirmed that all promised rewards for Nigeria’s senior national teams have received full government approval.
Speaking on Arise Television, Dikko revealed the Super Falcons and D’Tigress will be rewarded for continental triumphs. The Super Eagles will receive honors for finishing second at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The comprehensive incentive package includes houses, land allocations, national honors, and financial rewards. Dikko confirmed presidential endorsement for all components.
“The President has approved houses and land for Super Eagles players. National awards and financial rewards for Super Falcons are also processed,” stated Dikko.
The housing rewards now have concrete documentation. Dikko confirmed possession of Certificates of Occupancy for properties in Lagos and Abuja.
“I currently hold all Certificates of Occupancy for player houses. These cover Super Eagles, Super Falcons, and D’Tigress members,” he explained.
National honor certificates have been finalized. Monetary rewards are at the final payment stage through the Accountant General’s office.
“All National Award certificates are ready. Funds are processed for disbursement,” Dikko confirmed.
