A female undergraduate at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) recently shared her firm stance on dating and financial expectations. This computer science student presented her views in an online video.
She declared an unwillingness to pursue romantic relationships with men earning less than ₦5 million each month.
Financial Criteria for Dating
The student explained that income significantly influences her dating choices. She categorizes anyone earning between ₦1 million and ₦2 million monthly as “poor.”
Men making less than ₦1 million per month are suitable only for casual friendships. She indicated she might contact them solely for small emergency funds.
Demanding a Minimum ₦5M Income
For a romantic relationship, she insisted on an ideal partner earning at least ₦5 million monthly. She expects generous financial support from such individuals.
She explicitly stated her conditions:
“Those earning under ₦2 million monthly are poor. You cannot date me if you earn ₦1 million or ₦2 million.”
“I can only befriend those earning less than ₦1 million. I might message them for emergency funds, perhaps ₦50K or ₦100K.”
“To date me, you must earn ₦5 million or more. You should give me ₦3 million and keep ₦2 million for yourself.”
