The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has ordered the prosecution of popular Nigerian TikTok personality Peller following a viral car crash video circulating online.
Footage of the accident drew strong public criticism. Many Nigerians demanded sanctions against Peller. These included potential driver’s license revocation.
On December 15, 2025, the FRSC addressed public concern via official channels. The agency directed its Lagos State Command to initiate legal proceedings against the content creator.
Corps Marshal Shehu Muhammed cautioned entertainment industry stakeholders. He urged groups like the Actors Guild of Nigeria and content creator associations to educate members. The goal is preventing unsafe road behavior.
The Lagos Command received specific instructions to charge Peller under traffic laws. Charges include reckless driving, phone use while driving, and driving without full attention.
The FRSC emphasized that fame provides no legal immunity. Public recognition doesn’t justify actions endangering lives on Nigerian roads, the agency stressed.
