During an interview, Bigiano affirmed his role. He said, “I wrote Dami Duro for Davido. I wrote the hook.”
However, Bigiano is not officially credited as a co-writer. This is despite his recent claim.
“Dami Duro” remains a defining song for Davido. It propelled him to fame soon after its release.
Over the years, the track has gained significant recognition. Many local and international music fans list it among the “greatest Afrobeats songs of all time.” It has secured its place in Nigeria’s music history.
Bigiano Explains Music Hiatus
Bigiano also spoke about his long absence from the music scene. He described his break as deliberate and strategic. He called it a necessary pause before a major comeback.
He explained, “Sometimes, you have to take a break. This allows you to return stronger. I went on a sabbatical. My goal was a massive return to music.”
The singer also addressed rumors about his absence. He dismissed speculations of financial struggles. Bigiano insisted that he remains financially stable.
“I can’t be broke,” Bigiano stated confidently.
Davido’s Silence on the Claim
As of this report, Davido has not publicly responded. He has not addressed Bigiano’s claim about co-writing the “Dami Duro” hook.
