Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly declared her intention to fight for the custody of her two sons.
The actress stated that her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, has filed for full custody. She highlighted that their children are already under his care.
Speaking on Instagram, Daniels lamented the repeated public exposure of her children. She believes it is a deliberate attempt by Nwoko to gain attention.
Daniels also alleged that Nwoko dismissed all her nannies. She claims he pressured them into making false statements. These statements accused her of violence and alcoholism.
In her post, Daniels shared her deep pain. “No mother can be at peace while separated from her children,” she wrote. She added that she chose not to let this pain define her. This is why it took time for her to speak out.
She criticized the frequent public exposure of her children. Daniels described it as “a troubling and deliberate pursuit of negative attention” by their father. She finds it hard to believe a public figure, especially a legislator, would ignore media scrutiny.
She questioned his motives. “These actions make it reasonable to question whether his behavior is motivated by public engagement rather than parental responsibility,” she stated. Daniels initially wanted to avoid public dispute. However, she said Nwoko “keeps acting like a baby.” She then labeled the “one-term senator” as a “content creator.”
Daniels revealed her last conversation with her children was in mid-November. She reiterated that Nwoko dismissed her nannies. He allegedly forced them to make false accusations of violence and alcohol abuse. These statements were made in front of the children. Nwoko has since filed for full custody, despite already having them in his care.
The actress expressed her confusion. She wonders why she is being “challenged so aggressively.” Daniels stated, “I may be young, but I am such a mum.” She added, “I enjoy being a mum and I miss being a mum.” She concluded with a firm warning. “It’s so crazy if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I will definitely,” she affirmed.
