Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has appealed to citizens. He urged them to stop dwelling on his private life. Instead, they should focus on critical national issues.
Speaking to an audience, the singer stressed a point. Conversations about his marriage to Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru had become excessive.
He stated that more serious national concerns deserved public attention. These matters were more important than discussions about his personal affairs.
2Baba explained he had entertained Nigerians for years through his music. He believes it is now time for people to redirect their energy.
He emphasized that focusing on gossip and personal drama does not help Nigeria progress. He shared his message clearly.
“Ignore all that nonsense. Serious things are happening in Nigeria. I have entertained you enough. Let’s focus on more important things,” he said.
Alleged Rent Dispute
In a related development, reports indicate 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Idibia, face a legal battle. This dispute is with their landlord over alleged unpaid rent on their residence.
This news follows earlier claims by Natasha. She had stated the house was a gift from her grandfather to her and her husband. That claim made many believe the couple owned the property.
However, fresh information now suggests the Idibias do not own the house. They are reportedly renting an apartment. Documents, allegedly from the court, show the property belongs to a landlord. The landlord is reportedly dissatisfied with the current situation.
