Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reportedly attempted suicide. This tragic incident follows an alleged failed relationship with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Liberation City Church in Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
The 44-year-old actress tearfully revealed her intimate involvement with the Lagos-based pastor. She claimed their relationship began in 2017.
Ogala expressed immense pain and loss. She stated she lost everything because of her connection with the pastor. Her claims include suffering a miscarriage for Okafor. She also cited the mysterious death of her brother. Furthermore, her health has reportedly deteriorated since then.
According to Ogala, the pastor deceived her. He allegedly promised to marry her. This led her to end her marriage to her husband. Now, Pastor Okafor has announced his engagement to another woman.
She recounted enduring severe traumatic experiences. These include multiple miscarriages during their time together.
Her public outburst came after a video circulated online. The video showed Pastor Okafor proposing to a different woman. This celebration involved family and friends. The engagement, initially private, became public just hours before Ogala’s video release.
Amid the unfolding online controversy, Nollywood actor Digidi Dunhill intervened. On Sunday, he shared a video of himself rushing Doris to the hospital. The video clearly showed Doris Ogala with a self-inflicted stab wound on her hand. She was bleeding heavily.
In the clip, Dunhill was heard expressing his concern. He said, “Please I don’t know who this Chris is. Whoever you are, please you have to come to her aid because she cut hand.” He then directly asked her, “Doris, are you trying to commit suicide?”
