Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has shared a special wish. He wants fellow singer Asake to perform at his wedding.
Wizkid revealed that Asake’s songs deeply impress him. One particular track, “Remember,” stands out as his favourite.
He lauded Asake as one of Africa’s most talented singers. Wizkid praised his significant contributions to African music.
The Grammy-winning artist mentioned Asake’s music has been a long-time personal favourite. He hopes one of these songs will grace his wedding day.
“‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen,” Wizkid stated. “But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’.”
He continued, “I think you have to play that one on my wedding day. It is an amazing record.”
Wizkid further complimented Asake’s talent. “You are amazing,” he told the singer. “You have one of the most special voices from home [Africa] and in the world.”
“I have told you that like a million times,” Wizkid added. “I am saying it again on the radio. You are a blessing to African music.”
The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner is currently in a relationship. His partner is his manager and third baby mama, Jada P.
The couple shares three children. They have two boys and one girl together.
Wizkid has often hinted at his wedding plans. Fans remain curious about when the big day will finally occur.
