A Catholic priest has penned a heartfelt letter to detained activist Harrison Gwamnishu. The message expresses confidence in his imminent release. It also offers significant counsel for his future endeavors.
Reverend Father Emmanuel Ehioma, widely recognized as Fada Mentor on Facebook, shared this extensive note. He offered encouragement to Harrison. The priest reflected on Harrison’s challenges. He also cautioned him about individuals who benefited from his rescue work but offered no reciprocal support.
Resilience Amidst Hardship: A Priest’s Perspective
Father Emmanuel conveyed deep sympathy for the activist. He suggested this difficult period serves as a refining process in life. This will lead to personal growth.
He urged Harrison Gwamnishu to maintain composure. He advised viewing the current hardship as a means to become a stronger, improved individual.
Rethinking Risky Missions: Monetization or Disengagement?
In his communication, the priest highlighted the activist’s dangerous rescue operations. These frequently lack proper recognition or adequate protection.
He recommended that Harrison Gwamnishu consider a different approach upon his release. If he continues these efforts, he should charge beneficiaries. This includes covering the costs of accompanying police and soldiers.
The Reality of Transient Support: A Stark Warning
Father Emmanuel emphasized that Harrison Gwamnishu’s present difficulties should serve as a stark reminder. Many people he assisted do not genuinely care for his well-being.
He noted that heroes are often celebrated when convenient. However, they are quickly abandoned when challenges arise.
Gratitude Despite Past Criticisms
The priest acknowledged previous disagreements with Harrison Gwamnishu. Despite this, he expressed gratitude for the hope Harrison brought to numerous families through his missions.
He also prayed that Harrison would receive the same hope he extended to others during this trying time.
Father Emmanuel conveyed his message directly:
“Harrison Gwamnishu brother, I know you are having it rough now courtesy of your past. Unfortunately, that’s what life is all about.
“Calm down and take it all in. This suffering is meant to purify you. It will make you a better person.
“When you come out, which I know you surely will, just quit this risk you are taking for ‘world people.’ It does not worth it.
“But if you MUST continue, then you MUST monetize ‘your every move.’ This includes those police officers and soldiers who move with you.
“As they raise money for their kidnapped loved ones, they should also raise funds. These funds would pay you and your team. This payment should happen even before you leave the comfort of your home.
“You have realized now that nobody ‘send your papa.’ They do not even care about you.
“They are ready to run you to the ground. This occurs even while the remaining victim is suffering. This is because you were initially their target.
“You are not my friend. We have never met face-to-face. I even called you out before when you made past mistakes. But that does not stop me from saying THANK YOU. Thank you for giving people HOPE.
“I pray this same HOPE returns to you at this trying time.
“Stay blessed.
“Happy Sunday.”
