A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, recently convened a significant Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting. The gathering took place on Sunday in Abuja.

During his opening address, BoT Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa reiterated the body’s dedication. He emphasized restoring confidence within the party. Ohuabunwa also highlighted the importance of organizing congresses in states where they are outstanding.
Senator Ohuabunwa informed members that the national leadership is prepared for collaborative efforts. They aim to work with all state chapters. This cooperation will introduce fresh leadership and ensure stability across Nigeria.
PDP’s Roadmap for Revival
He outlined the PDP’s strategic roadmap. Key steps include conducting overdue state congresses. The party also plans to consolidate current achievements. Furthermore, it will support the national leadership to guide the party back on track.
These actions, he noted, are crucial. They will foster unity, transparency, and stronger grassroots engagement within the party.
Ohuabunwa further explained the party’s vision. By holding timely congresses and reinforcing organizational discipline, the PDP hopes to rebuild trust among its members. This approach aims to present a more organized and credible front in preparation for future elections.
