A Nigerian woman recently recounted a horrifying incident. Bandits attacked her bus during a night trip from Lagos to the East. They repeatedly fired at the vehicle.
She detailed the terrifying event in a popular TikTok video. The account, shared by @luxury Dubiβs fram, described the gunmen. They aimed specifically at the bus driver. Their goal was to stop the vehicle. They fired directly at the front of the bus.
She expressed her fear and gratitude. “They wanted to shoot our driver,” she stated. She questioned divine protection: “Who says El-Roi is not at work?” She added, “They almost kidnapped us last night.” She urged caution for holiday travelers. “Please guys, be safe out there,” she advised. “If you’re coming for Xmas, I recommend flying.”
The woman reported multiple bullet impacts. Shots hit the bus’s front section. The attackers fiercely tried to stop the moving vehicle.
Amidst the danger, the driver showed immense bravery. He continued driving despite broken windows. Bullets pierced the bus exterior. Fortunately, the driver evaded the attackers. All passengers survived the frightening experience.
Public reactions to her story were strong. One user remarked, “This is scary. Nigeria is rapidly changing.” Another commenter praised the driver. “God bless that driver,” they wrote. “He genuinely saved lives.”
Many travelers are sharing similar harrowing tales. Nigerians are now repeatedly asking a critical question. “How many more attacks must occur,” they ponder, “before real change happens?”
