Nigerian music executive Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has issued a strong warning. He addressed an X (formerly Twitter) user impersonating him online.
From his verified account, Don Jazzy publicly called out the individual. He instructed them to immediately cease using his name and image.
The Mavin Records boss advised the impersonator. Any future giveaways should feature their own real name and photograph.
He also delivered a stern caution. The impersonator should not express surprise if they face legal arrest. Don Jazzy stressed the dangers of deceiving online users.
He wrote directly to the individual:
“Good evening sir/ma. Don’t you see how using my name and image on this account looks dodgy. You can do your giveaways with your own name and pic if you really want to help people. Don’t say they are bullying you if you get arrested o. I come in peace.”
