Woman Discloses Conversation with Harrison Gwamnishu
Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson, identified on Facebook, shared her discussion with Gwamnishu. During their chat, he mentioned receiving an invitation from Monday Opabelo. Opabelo serves as the Chief of Staff to the Edo State governor.
Ifeson stated that the human rights activist traveled to Edo on December 4, 2025. She clarified that he was not arrested or charged to court. This contradicts prevailing speculation.
In her post, Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson disclosed more information. Before this recent invitation to Edo State, Gwamnishu had held meetings with government officials. These discussions focused on insecurity issues within the state.
Addressing the Ransom Diversion Allegations
According to Chiamaka’s post, Harrison Gwamnishu did not personally deliver the money to the kidnappers. She further stated that the N20 million ransom has since been returned to Auchi, Edo State.
She also criticized the abductee’s family. Ifeson believes they should not have gone online to accuse Harrison of taking part of the ransom. She conveyed her deep concern for the life of the man still held by the kidnappers.
