A Nigerian woman has revealed details from her chat with human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu. This exchange took place just days before his recent detention.
Harrison Gwamnishu is currently in custody. Controversial critic VeryDarkMan confirmed his arrest.

Separately, a user on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) accused Gwamnishu of diverting funds. This user alleged he took part of a ₦20 million ransom. The money was intended for the release of his sister and brother-in-law.
Lady Shares Pre-Arrest Conversation
The lady, identified as Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson on Facebook, stated that Gwamnishu informed her of an invitation. The Chief of Staff to the Edo State governor, Monday Opabelo, had invited him to the state.
Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson clarified that Gwamnishu traveled to Edo on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She stressed that he was not arrested or charged in court, contrary to some rumors.
Her post also mentioned Gwamnishu’s prior engagement with state officials. These meetings concerned security issues within Edo State.
Clarifying Ransom Diversion Allegations
Chiamaka’s post further clarified the ransom situation. She stated that Harrison Gwamnishu did not personally deliver the funds to the kidnappers. She added that the ₦20 million ransom has since been returned to Auchi, Edo State.
She criticized the abductee’s family for publicizing accusations. According to her, they should not have accused Gwamnishu online of diverting ransom money.
Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson conveyed her deep concern. She worries about the safety of the individual still held captive by the kidnappers.
