Veteran actor Yul Edochie has again called upon President Bola Tinubu. He urges him to decisively address the increasing issues of kidnapping and killings nationwide.
Edochie stated that rising insecurity is intolerable. Immediate action is essential to resolve it.
Edochie Demands Urgent Action on National Insecurity
On his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Edochie declared the current security situation a “slap” to the President’s authority. He believes President Tinubu possesses ample capability. He has the resources to end this threat.
Edochie wrote: “Dear President Tinubu, you have the ability to confront these bandits and kidnappers. They kill Nigerians daily and even share their acts on social media. This situation insults your leadership, Mr. President. Citizens fear travel. They are afraid to move freely. Innocent lives are lost daily. Seek foreign assistance if needed. Act firmly against these criminals. Crush them.”
Public Responds to Edochie’s Criticism
His statement drew diverse responses. Many Nigerians shared their perspectives on the issue. Some users offered support. Others questioned the harshness of his message.
Samuel Ozonna suggested: “Yul the only way to gain Tinubu’s attention is to curse him, then go back and make peace. Take Reno template.”
Obyno King reacted: “How do you expect him to crush his business partners! What do you expect when a sitting president is a drug lord, his VP a sympathizer, his ministers members, and his advisers are all associated with bandits? Ndi erieri!”
Orabtorblack remarked: “I thought you believe Jagaban would fix the country? Are you doubting him? Relax he would fix everything.”
Another user, 2TwentyTwo, added: “Slow your horses, Yul. Tinubu is preparing another ambassadorial list. Hopefully, your name might make it into this new list.”
