Rabat: A Hub of AFCON Action
Rabat is set to be a major hub for the AFCON 2025 tournament. The city boasts the impressive Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah. This 69,500-seat arena recently reopened on September 5, 2025. It underwent extensive renovations. Located close to central Rabat, it has a rich history. The stadium previously hosted AFCON 1988 and the FIFA Club World Cup. It will stage the opening match between Morocco and Comoros on December 21. Key knockout ties will also be held here. These include a semi-final and the final on January 18.
Rabat also introduces the new Tade Annexe Olympique. This 21,000-capacity stadium was built in just nine months. It features a natural-grass pitch and high-standard lighting. Modern amenities like cryotherapy rooms are also available. Teams such as Tunisia, Uganda, Benin, and Botswana will play their group games here.
Another notable venue is the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan. It stands on the historic FUS Rabat grounds. Its design draws inspiration from Berber culture. This stadium will host Group E matches, including Algeria’s fixtures. A Round of 16 game is also scheduled. Finally, Stade El Barid completes Rabat’s stadium lineup. Situated in the Agdal district, it offers clear sightlines. The compact 18,000-seat stadium will host DR Congo, Benin, Uganda, Tanzania, and Botswana. A Round of 16 fixture is also planned.
Casablanca: Home of the Legendary Stade Mohammed V
Casablanca proudly presents Stade Mohammed V. This iconic venue dates back to 1955. It can accommodate 67,000 passionate fans. For decades, it has been known as one of Africa’s most atmospheric football arenas. The stadium will host group matches for Mali, Zambia, Burkina Faso, and Sudan. It will also be the venue for the third-place play-off on January 17.
Agadir: Atlantic Coast Battles
Further along the Atlantic coast lies the Grand Stade d’Agadir. This stadium is set to host several major encounters. These include high-profile matches for Egypt against Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Angola. A crucial quarter-final match will also be played here on January 10.

The city of Fes will be a significant venue for Nigerian fans. The Complexe Sportif de Fès will host all of Nigeria’s Group C matches. The Super Eagles kick off their campaign on December 23 against Tanzania. They will then face Tunisia and Uganda at the same stadium.

Tangier: The Grand Ibn Battuta Stadium
In the northern part of Morocco is the impressive Grand Stade de Tanger. Named after the famous explorer Ibn Battuta, it is another magnificent venue. It can accommodate 68,000 passionate supporters. This stadium will host all of Group D’s matches, including Senegal’s entire group campaign. A knockout round fixture is also planned for Tangier.
