Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has once again backed Shehu Yohanna. Yohanna is the Acting/Interim Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State.
Abubakar, a prominent chieftain of the ADC, called on all party stakeholders in Adamawa to unite. He urged them to work under the state leadership headed by Shehu Yohanna.
In a further move, the former Vice President also backed the Sadiq Dasin-led Transition Team. He encouraged them to collaborate with the Shehu-led state executive. Their goal is to firmly establish the ADC’s presence in Adamawa.
Atiku’s position comes after all legal issues involving the Adamawa ADC were concluded. Key parties involved have signed commitments, resolving outstanding disputes.
Expressing his satisfaction, Atiku stated, “I am particularly elated that we, in the Adamawa ADC family, are ending the year on a very positive note with the resolution of all extant issues. No house divided against itself can stand. To this end, I encourage both the Adamawa exco led by Shehu and the Dasin Transition Team to work together in establishing the ADC as the preferred political party of choice in Adamawa State.”
He further highlighted the directive from the Senator David Mark-led national executive of the ADC. This directive stipulates zero tolerance for indiscipline and insubordination within the party.
