Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has predicted a narrow victory for his old club, the Blues, against Barcelona. The two European football giants will clash at Stamford Bridge tonight in their Champions League Matchday 5 encounter.
Chelsea enters this crucial Champions League fixture fresh from a Premier League victory against Burnley over the weekend. Barcelona also arrives in strong form. They secured a dominant 4-0 win over Athletic Club in their recent LaLiga match at Camp Nou.
Speaking to OLBG, Leboeuf expressed his optimism regarding Chelsea’s prospects for the match. He confidently predicted a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the London club.
The French pundit also raised concerns about Barcelona’s defensive strategy under coach Hansi Flick. He described their high defensive line as “insane”. Leboeuf stated, “I don’t understand Hansi Flick and the way he plays. As a defender, I would refuse to play like that. Put me on the bench; I don’t want to look like a fool.”
